PDO Thread Lift

A PDO Thread Lift is a type of face lift that is often referred to as the “lunch hour lift” due to the simplicity and the time it takes to carry out treatment. A tiny entry is made near the ear and fine threads are advanced along pre-marked contours. These threads are made from polydioxanone (PDO) – the same material used for medical stitches – which dissolve naturally in the body over time. Once the threads are in place, the body begins to produce new bundles of collagen around each thread, creating a subtle yet effective lift that gives a rejuvenated and refreshed appearance. There is no scarring and recovery time is minimal compared to traditional surgery.

What areas can be treated with PDO Thread Lift?

V Lift with PDO Thread Lift can be used to improve the appearance of a sagging neck, sagging cheeks and jowls, and droopy eyebrows. Treatments are personalized to suit the exact needs of each client.

Who is a PDO Thread Lift suitable for?

A PDO Thread Lift is best for treating clients between the ages of 30 and 70.

The procedure is most effective on skin that has minimal sagging and offers the best results for cheeks, jowls, brows and the neck area. If you are looking for a ways to amplify and compliment the results you get with  fillers without the discomfort or inconvenience of surgery, then a PDO Thread Lift is the ideal choice.

What are the advantages of a PDO Thread Lift?

A PDO Thread Lift offers quick recovery and excellent results.  The treatment is minimally invasive and can be carried out under local anesthetic, giving long-lasting results at a fraction of the cost of surgery.

If you are looking for a quick and effective solution to a range of aging problems then a PDO Thread Lift is the perfect solution.

What are the risks?

No surgical procedure is without risk, but the level of risk often depends on the expertise of the medical staff performing the treatment. PDO Thread Lifts can induce minor side effects such as infection, bruising, swelling, tenderness, numbness and slight asymmetry.

How long does a PDO Thread Lift take?

A typical PDO Thread Lift procedure can take as little as 30 minutes, depending on the number of threads being placed and the areas being treated.

What happens after the procedure?

After the procedure, aftercare instructions will be given. Most clients experience some mild swelling and bruising which resolves over the course of a few days. Recovery time is typically less than 2 days, although strenuous exercise should be avoided for 1 to 2 weeks.

How long do the results last?

A PDO Thread Lift’s lasting power depends on the age of the client at the time of treatment and the severity of their condition prior to treatment. It should be noted that the treated area will return to its previous condition over time, but reports indicate that the results last up to 1 year. To extend the life of these results it is possible to have additional threads inserted and your doctor can advise you when this is required.
